The library will be closed Monday May 30 in observance of Memorial Day.

April is National Donate Life Month and we encourage everyone to consider becoming an organ, tissue and/or blood donor.  On Saturday, April 30, the library is hosting a donor drive all morning.  We’ll have snacks, registration forms and brochures where you can learn more about donations and transplants.  Nearly 5,000 people in Illinois alone are waiting for a lifesaving transplant.  Please come in and find out how your generosity could save lives!

April 10 through the 16 we will celebrate National Library Week.  We are holding a coloring contest for children in kindergarten through 4th grade.  Kids:  be sure to get your pictures to the library by April 6!  Everyone who visits the library that week can see the kids’ beautiful artwork and enjoy a sweet treat, compliments of YOUR library.  Won’t you stop by?

The March 10 library board meeting has been canceled.  Our next regularly scheduled meeting is set for April 14 at 6:30pm here at the library.  As always, the public is welcome to attend.

Pre-registration forms for the St. Joseph’s Hospital 2011 Spring Health Fair Screenings are available here at the library.  Screenings are scheduled for 6am to 10 am at the following sites:

March 9, Breese     -     March 17, Germantown

March 22, Carlyle     -     March 31, Trenton     -     April 6, Breese

The library will be closed Monday, February 21 for Presidents’ Day.

Our next meeting of the library board of trustees is February 10 at 6:30 pm here at the library.  As always the public is welcome to attend.
