Closed – Monday, September 4^th for Labor Day.

September is Library Card Sign-up Month.  If your card has expired stop by and we will update it for you.  If you don’t have a card and live within the Germantown Library District boundaries we can issue a card to you.  Once you have a card you can use it at any library in Illinois.

The IL Community College Board is picking up the tab for anyone who wants to take the GED test this summer! Normally it’s a 4-part test at $25/each section. The coupon code is ILSAVE to save $100 total. The Summer Reading Program – Find Your Voice – We are still going strong.  You can still register to participate.  You have through July 31^st to complete the program.

The Summer Reading Program – Find Your Voice – Registration is under way.  Join us for reading, crafts, and prizes.  More information will be included in the registration packet.  Storytime will be held Monday mornings at 11:00 am.

Tuesday June 6th – Robert Kellar with the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Southern Illinois will be here with educational materials and will answer questions.  Stop by between 3:00 – 6:00 to get more information.  There will be an opportunity for Epilepsy First Aid training on Monday, July 17^th from 6:00-7:30.  To register for training contact the library at 618-523-4820 or gma@gtownlibrary.org

Thursday, June 8^th – 6:30 pm The library will hold it’s first meeting of the Decennial Committee on Local Government Efficiency.  This will be held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled library board meeting.  The public is welcome to attend.
