Thanks to the generosity of the Germantown Kernel Nut Club, we have colorful new floor pillows for the children’s area.  Our old, much loved ladybug, turtle and alligator were over 20 years old and showing wear.  A Nut Club member noticed and offered to request funds from the group to buy new ones.  The request was approved, new pillows were ordered and we all love them!

The April election is fast approaching and the library will have 3 open seats on its board of directors.  Would you or someone you know be interested in serving a 4 year term on this fun and friendly board?  We meet once a month at the library.  A candidate for trustee does not have to be a regular library user, but does need to live in the library district (same boundaries as the Germantown Elementary School District).  There is a simple form to be completed to show intent to run as a write-in candidate.  We have the form available here or you can just go to the county clerk’s office and complete it.  FORMS ARE DUE BY FEBRUARY 1!  Please consider running for a seat on the board.  For more information stop in or call the library at 523-4820 and ask to speak to Director Joan Young.  Thanks for considering.
