Music & Memory iPod Drive

If you have an iPod or iPod Shuffle you no longer use, please bring it to the library.  We are a drop-off point for Aviston Countryside Manor’s “Music & Memory” program.  They enhance the lives of their residents by creating personalized playlists of musical favorites for each participant.  They have seen vastly improved quality of life for troubled and memory impaired people, just by helping them reconnect to the world through music-triggered memories.  For more information, call Fran Holtmann at 228-7615.

Summer Reading Has Begun

If you’ve signed up for summer reading, now’s the time to come in and pick up your bag of goodies.  It’s not too late to sign up either.  Kids and grandkids, ages 4 – 12, are welcome.  Our first event is “Pint Size Polkas” this Saturday June 18 at 10am.  Come on in and tap your toes to “The Chicken Dance”, “The Hokey Pokey” and other musical favorites.  Snacks and attendance prizes too!
